Give the intangibles to Tennessee, who desperately needs a win to stifle the negativity on Rocky Top, and no one is better with his back against the wall than Phillip Fulmer. Still, home field has turned to a disadvantage in this series as of late, so if the intangibles are an edge for the Vols, it's a slight one.
We have a three-way tie for this week's Hail Mary Haiku, so congrats to the Vol Abroad, Smitty, and ttocswob:
Come over here, Uga

NO...War Eagle! What???

This should be a good game, but I'm thinking Georgia's going to win it, say, 34-31. Leave your predictions and pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts below.
Oh, and to pass the time, check out A Gainesville love story.
Go Vols!

First play
Next: Stafford over throws out of bounds on a deep ball. No pressure, though.
Stafford over throws on third down. Nice start for the special teams and defense.
Let's see how Hefney does returning punts.

He lets it hit
Not so good. Is he gun shy?

First offensive drive
Foster for another ten, nice call -- counter play, nice run.
Nice third option pass to Foster on the flat, YAC, another 10.
THEN -- Coker, two yard loss, wait, yep, wait, yep, wait, no two yard gain. Fantastic run.
Free play, pass to Taylor for first down. Penalty denied.
Nice calls so far, good mix of run/pass.
1st and 10 from the 30. First good play for the defense. Timed blitz, TFL.
2nd and 10. Offsides again. 2nd and five. Thanks, fellas.
Another great run from Coker for another first down. On the 21.
First down. Coker up the middle for eight.
Yeah! Great run from Foster. Ran for a handful, spun, put a hand down for balance, and backs into the end zone.
Superb first stop by the defense and first drive by the offense.

2nd kickoff
Brown up the middle, stuffed, second effort for a few.
Defensive line playing well, so far.
Instant replay. Third and two.
Stafford to Wilson, first down pass. D-back seemed to be playing well off the guy.
Moreno for two up the middle. Moreno for nothing. Third and eight, Stafford takes a time out.
Thoughts so far: Crowd sounds loud. Defensive line is holding its own. Secondary not really tested yet -- Stafford's not thrown well deep.
Offense is rolling. Mixing up the run/pass, mixing up the carries between Foster and Coker, who both look good. No drops, Ainge poised. Things looking good so far.

On 3rd and eight
Punt to Hefney -- lets it hit inside the ten. Good call. Just a nice punt.

Got to the 20
Second pass -- to the 35. We're rolling.
So far.

And then . . .
Foster for three.
Working the clock.
Third and five. Incomplete over the middle.
First real test on punt coverage. Kicked out of bounds. Good.
Georgia gets it at the 27.
Working the clock, playing well, playing smart.

Next series.
Penalty.
Run stop.
Sack! Three guys there.
Third and 18. Run for four. Safe play. Kicking to Hefney, who will have room to either catch it or run it back. Should be one of the two.
Shanks. Hef picks it up on the bounce, and, did he just lose a yard? If he did, first mistake. Oh, wait, it probably would have rolled more than that, so maybe it's okay.

As in . . .
Taylor's pass efficiency must be phenomenal. Two for two, both TDs.

McKenzie there again
He's a keeper.

Three and out for the defense
How about another score, guys?
Expect a lot of running plays this next drive?
Block! Even better.

Enforcing both penalties
Still have momentum, though.
Did you see who had the penalties? No numbers given for either.

All right guys,
I have to head out (painful!). Be back after the game.
If we are still ahead at the end of this game, I might post an open game thread for the Florida-LSU game tonight (after I speed-watch the rest of this game).
Later! Go Vols!

Additionally, it's really nice to have the finger brace off Ainge.

Only one more?
I breezed through the second half when I got back, and the defense looked a lot different than it did the first. Was it?
Still, nice win, huh?
