Just read this morning
From CBSSportsline LSU article...
First, Tennessee came from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Vanderbilt and remain in control of its own destiny in the SEC's Eastern Division. That's good for LSU, if you didn't know, because as long as the Vols are on their way to the SEC Championship Game, that means Georgia is not. And it's probably better for the Tigers to stay away from the red-hot Bulldogs, or at least that's what I gathered from the reaction of LSU athletic director Skip Bertman, who was noticeably excited here in the press box when he heard the Vols had stormed back and won.
Just kinda found that intersting. I mean, obviously UGA is playing better than we are right now, but still, I wonder if we should send this over to Mr. Mayo?

A top ranked 3 loss team
And yes, every fan base plays the no respect card, but that doesn't mean they have that right. Teams like USC, Miami, FSU, Oklahoma should never really play the no respect card because people will always, ALWAYS, give them credit and the benefit of the doubt even when their teams are slightly above average. The Vols on the other hand are not at that level as far as national recognition goes, and therefore, get their 30 second highlight and get dismissed in any sort of talk about the BCS and get a little plug at the end of the SEC championship talk with Rece Davis saying something like, "Of course Tennessee still in control of it's own destiny, so we'll see if that works out."
I'm not saying this is right or wrong, as the Vols have certainly been over hyped in recent years (see SOWWDNS) and Georgia is playing better than us right now, that's just a fact, but UT doesn't get the same attention, recognition, and therefore, respect it used to get and that bothers some of us fans for a variety reasons but mainly because we are proud Vol fans with a rich football tradition.
I really just posted this as a little motovation for the Vol fans to get fired up for Atlanta IF we can beat UK, but then came the respect card and all the ranting and raving that comes along with it. To have the LSU AD of all people hoping to play the Vols rather than the Dawgs should be a bit of a slap in the face of the players and coaches of UT. I'm sure the players and coaches have seen this and will use this for ammo in a couple of weeks, or at least I hope they will, judging from the last time they played as severe underdogs (Arkansas) and from Jerod Mayo's comments on UT playing as underdogs. I just thought this would make for fun banter in a very anti-LSU and pro-VOl way; a "Rallying Cry" if you will, not a dividing issue.

Send it on...
So he can plaster it all over the locker room.
Oh, and ONUV, every fan base does not play the respect card. If 're a Trojan or a Buckeye or a Tiger or a Wolverine or many other team's fan, you don't have to play a respect card because you're getting plenty of coverage and SOMEbody is GOING to say something supportive about your team even if you lose to a severly inferior opponent. They'll say, "Well, they'll get it together and they'll still have a chance to play for a championship...", or something similar.
WE, on the other hand, keep winning and keep getting told we don't have a chance. Even after beating Arkansas SOUNDLY, the news was all about Georgia going to Atlanta. Now after beating Vandy, albeit not altogether convincingly, the news is STILL all about how the Tigers are going to have to prepare for Georgia and how the Bulldogs are going to play against that LSU defense.
See the difference?
And I'm curious. Where exactly is it that we're ranked as one of the top 3 loss teams. I'd like to check that out.
