Duke University Interviewing Coach Cutcliffe

Bumped from the diaries. Thanks to Aerobab for staying on top of things (and to Corn from a Jar for kicking, uh, tipping off basketball season below) while I'm just trying to make it through the next eight days.

Word both here in Knoxville and in Durham, NC is that Coach Cutcliffe is a candidate for a vacant head coaching job at Duke University.

It's no secret that Coach Cut would like to return to the ranks of the HBCs, but I'm just a little bit surprised that he's interviewing for a "less than ideal" position.  Maybe he really enjoys the challenges of making something out of nothing?  Regardless, if it's what you want, Coach, go get it!  Otherwise, you're still welcome right here in Knoxville!

For the sake of discussion/argument...IF he leaves us this off-season, who would be a good replacement?  I hear that Petrino guy knows a thing or two about offenses.  Shouldn't take much effort to get him out of Hog-Ville!
