Tennessee Volunteers v. Gonzaga Bulldogs open game thread

Let's forgo the fact that I had to watch Kentucky for the first 5 mins of my game.  GO VOLS!

UT 30 - Gonzaga 21

The arena announcer just made an announcement to route for "Your Gonzaga Bulldogs!"  Um...could someone make the same announcement for "Your Tennessee Volunteers" please...just trying to keep it neutral...  heh

I know I'm the only one here, just figured you could enjoy some play by play...drive safe..

You played great defense and then tried to jump for an easy rebound and then fouled 'mushrooms'....one step forward two steps back?  C'mon big guy!  Smarter not harder...

WHAT A BANK TO END THE HALF...

wait...foul?  Oh Chris..why??  stupid foul...checking the clock...

Ramar makes an amazing three with bout 2.2 secs on the clock.  Zag's get the ball in with about .07 left to which you see Chris Lofton screaming across the scene and making contact with the Zag player.  A stupid move, as the Gonzaga player had no chance at even shooting, and Coach tells Chris so on the sideline.  The whistles blow, but then the refs go to the monitors to see when the foul occurred, because if it was before the half it's two free shots for the Zags.  After five minutes and much discussion ( I watched it five times, twice in slow mo' and I couldn't tell you if it happened at .01 or at .00 - that's how close it was) the refs rule it happened after the clock expired.  Vols go into the half up 5.

UT 36 - Gon 31

Come out with Howell's three, but can't get a rebound..

If you see me refer to a gonzaga player as Mushrooms, it's Heytvelt, who was arreseted for Hallucinagenic Mushrooms last season and suspened for the season...He's just fouled and given us the ball back.

Two missed layups on two fast breaks in a row...c'mon vols...

When Coach's technical almost cost us...well, I think Coach reminded Chris of that play and his foul at the half..three threes in a row.  GO VOLS!

Zag's put up a careless three swatted back, TN pass to tyler smith who drives the court in the final seconds and makes the 180 reverse two handed slam to end the game.  Ah, closure... GO VOLS!
