Rocky Top Talking Points: What's up with SBN edition
Very quickly this morning, as yesterday was an even busier day and night than normal.
- We're at No. 27 in the RTT Getting to Know You series. Are y'all even interested in this stuff?
- Check out SBN's Stampede Blue's Big Blue Shoe's (!?) diary soliciting opinions from Vol fans on Justin Harrell. Leave your thoughts on Harrell in that thread. I'm thinking about doing a feature on Harrell like the one we did for Robert Meachem. What do you think? Yay or nay?
- Andy may have mentioned this in his new D&D feature, but have you noticed that Tennessee swept Georgia in football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and softball this year? Hey, that's pretty good.
- If you missed it, you must check out Kyle's post asking everyone to agree that Mike Greenberg might be a woman. It's laugh out loud stuff, especially his answers to the quiz, which I found particularly interesting because if you simply substituted "orange" for "red" and "white" for "black," you'd have my answers as well.
- Rocky Top Talk recently made Burnt Orange Nation's top ten time killers for the off season, for which we are much obliged to Peter.
- Way late on this, too, but I wanted to rescue it from the archives before it took up residency there: Paul Westerdawg posts Wedding by Munson.
- SBN Kentucky blog A Sea of Blue has triggered a fascinating discussion on the ethics of breaking Letters of Intent.
- The SBN NFL blogs are holding a mock draft, which is being hosted by Seattle Seahawks blog Field Gulls. The aforementioned Stampede Blue just selected Justin Harrell with the 32nd pick. Robert Meachem was the No. 19 pick by Music City Miracles.
- We gots ourselves a NASCAR blog, y'all. Please head over to Restrictor Plate This and give Diecast Dude a hearty Volunteer welcome.

- And last but not least, check out SBN's NBA post-season awards, hosted by Wizards blog Bullets Forever.

Getting to know me?!
"Getting to know you" feature is a must! I'm one of those who don't follow the recruiting deal, so I really have no idea who these kids are, where they're from, or what skills they bring to UT. Having said that, I've really been enjoying the feature. However, I'm generally not in a position to have any insightful comments about their biography/resume outside of "I hope he can git-r-done on the field this fall!"
Also, you deserve MAJOR props for making Peter's list! You must be doing something right, considering the company you're in! Keep up the great work!
When I first found out about the SBN blogs (through RTT, of course!) I looked for a/the NASCAR blog. Realizing that one didn't exist, I gave serious consideration to starting one up, but passed on it for a multitude of reasons. I'm glad to see that somebody took the initiative. I haven't been over to his/her site yet, but I'll get over there soon enough.
Enough babble for now.

NLOI debate
Aerobab's conclusion on the matter:
The NLOI program is no more or no less screwed up than any other program overseen by the NCAA. The Pros and Cons of the program are suppored by pure sketchiness, all in the name of the almighty dollar.

Gracias
And I really like kicking things back and forth with you guys. Usually and unfortunately, I'm unable to do it until later due to the day job. But know that I read and appreciate all comments. I know Andy does, too.
Thanks for reading, and go Vols!
