won't let you vote ???
I tried to vote and it won't let me vote.

It's working for me
You can only vote once, so if you get the current results when you click on "Entry Link", you've already voted.

Interesting little work-around: you can "Logout" and vote as an unregistered user, too. You can probably also close your browser and open it back up and vote as many times as you want as a unregistered user. Maybe.

I know you can only vote once.
I voted once and forwarded the site to some friends that are Vol fans and they aren't able to vote at all.  It shows the results as if they have already voted.  Is there a way to fix that?

Hmm
Not sure why that would be the case. Can you give more specifics? Make sure they are clicking on the "Entry Link" just below the post. Are you sending them to the front page (http://www.rockytoptalk.com) or to the URL for the post itself? Try having them just go to the front page and having them click on "Entry Link." Have them check the upper right box to see what it says -- is there an option to "Create an account" (or register, or whatever), or is either "Log In" or "Log Out?"

I'd like to help figure this out.

I had to create an acct to be able to vote...
I did it w/my home email address b/c I/we don't want to use our work email to do this.  Some don't have home email to do this with.  You shouldn't have to create an acct in order to vote.  I was able to vote on previous days for the various plays without creating an acct.  Why now?

Hey, folks
Just popping in during lunch. Apologies for anyone who's having trouble. I frankly don't know what the problem is (SB Nation has a team of techs that address problems with the sites). The funny thing is, and I don't doubt that anyone who's saying they're having problems are in fact having problems, but I'm unable to duplicate the problem. I voted fine from my account, and I also voted fine twice while logged out, meaning I was voting without having registered or created an account.

In any event, sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait until after work to look into it further, as my lunch time is up. I'll probably need some more details like Volter Ego said.

If you're new to the site, this is the first problem we've had in almost a year, so have a look around until we can get it fixed. Thanks for stopping by.

Power T, I don't have an email from you. SNAFUs galore!

Go Vols!

Yep
That's it. But unless you're writing to tell me about the WORLD'S GREATEST DENTAL PLAN, I still don't have anything from you.

I noticed that there's been a bunch of votes this afternoon, so I'm thinking the problem got fixed.

Anybody still having problems?

Go Vols!

The 1970 game between Alabama and USC has been heralded by many (usually Trojan fans) as the contest which lead to the integration of Crimson Tide football. It's nonsense, of course, but that hasn't stopped that version of the story from spreading by West Coast revisionists.

One reasons Tennessee fans should be disappointed with this sloppy telling of history is that it almost completely discounts a historic game involving the Vols a year earlier.

In 1969, Lester McClain and Jackie Walker (pictured above) started in the Third Saturday in October game and broke the color line at Birmingham's Legion Field (a third black player, Andy Bennett, got into the game as well). Not only that, the Vols handed Bear Bryant's Tide team a 41-14 beatdown that afternoon.

I tell a bit of the tale at Roll Bama Roll today in my scathing review of a book about the 1970 Alabama vs. USC game, One Night, Two Teams.
