SEC Power Poll ballot: week seven
And finally, even the numbers agree: Tennessee is the worst team in the SEC. Ouch.
The RTT SEC Power Poll ballot will be cast in the following order. The gray rows indicate the "power" aspect of the power poll, meaning that those teams have been ranked notwithstanding their resume numbers.

Hmmm...
Total Defense :: 21
3rd-Down Defense :: 89
That, of course, was not helped by the number of drive-extending penalties called on UT’s D (both real and imagined). But it does go a long ways in explaining the lack of offensive snaps – the D is playing well enough to encounter a lot of 3rd downs, but not well enough to get to 4th down. The opponents’ drives are therefore becoming long, time-consuming beasts that leave the opponents’ defenses well-rested and allows opposing DCs to make aggressive playcalls against an offense without a rhythm.
This is further supported
by my dynasty team on NCAA ‘09. :) Of course, that team has a rushing offense, so …yeah, maybe it’s not quite the same. (And Crompton is effective in limited doses, proof that this is only simulation.)
The funny part? Good luck finding Gerald Jones in the depth chart.
