Hail Mary Haiku: Mississippi State Bulldogs edition
Time for the Tennessee-Mississippi State Hail Mary Haiku.
Here's the concept for those new to the game: You're behind by four at midfield. Only one second remains on the clock, and you have to heave the ball into a mass of players in the end zone and hope that one of your guys comes down with it. Bonus points for actually observing the traditional 5-7-5 format for haikus, but free form haikus are allowed. This is, after all, a desperation play.
I'll try to post the entries and open up the voting on Thursday morning. Voting will continue until Game Day, when I'll post the winner. The winner gets . . . a point in the RTT Guessing Game Challenge.

Chavis’ defense,
soft as a baby’s bottom.
Time for him to go?

Sorry, but Chavis is not the worst coordinator at UT right now.
Someday we'll look back on this and plow into a parked car.

I don't think I said he was,
but his defense didn’t look too good Saturday (like most Saturdays the past few years). Maybe you saw a different game than I did, but they couldn’t get off the field. Georgia mistakes were the only thing that kept the score even somewhat competitive.

It was a horrible game. But I think that it is clear that the biggest problem UT has right now is a stagnant offense that can’t stay on the field. And if someone was going to start hollering for change, I think you address the biggest problem first (yep, still Offense). The D has, in my opinion, clearly been the most successful unit on the field this year. And time of possession was not just a function of the defense not being able to stop Georgia….After watching your offense continiously punt after failed third downs, even the best defense is going to get winded.
Maybe I am a Chavis apologist, but I honestly feel this season’s woes are almost entirely due to offensive ineptitude, a inexcusable inability to turn turnover’s into points, and special team’s meltdowns. Either way, nice haiku I guess.

I have to disagree
UGA only punted one time in the first 58 minutes and both interceptions they threw were in the UT end of the field. The defense hardly slowed them down. They gave up few big plays, just militarily efficient capitulation by Chavis. 6 yards at a clip.
Back to the reservation, Chief!

Fake
To be used for humor only…NOT to be used for actual competition!
Tebow, Tim Tebow
Tebow, Tebow, Tim Tebow
Whoops, sorry, wrong game.
I had hoped they'd use that plan against Georgia!
But it’s hard for an offense to try something new when they know they have to score on every possession.
