CBS Sports has elected to use a six-day option Monday for its choice of games on Oct. 25. CBS will select either Alabama at Tennessee or Georgia at LSU. The CBS game will air at 3:30 p.m. The selection would come at sometime on Saturday or Sunday of this weekend.
ESPN will televise the game that CBS does not select. That game would kickoff at 7:45.
UT vs. Alabama at 3:30 (CBS) or 7:45 (ESPN) : Football : GoVolsXtra.com
I'd say we're looking at ESPN at 7:45, wouldn't you?

Not familiar with the tradition of the timing...
But as someone who will be attending the game, I hope it’s 7:45. Night games are awesome.

I sure hope so.
I’m getting rrrreal tired of hearing Danielson beat our team with his belt. (Metaphorically, but on live television, which is all the difference.)

You kinda get the feeling
that if TV announcers were allowed to use the word “suck”, that Danielson would’ve rolled it out a looong time ago.

I'd rather he not lie
The product UT has put on the field this year can be accurately describe as “sucks.”

Not asking him to gloss.
Just weird to hear a network announcer with that level of vitriol. Been going on for every game he’s called for us this year, and while deserved, it’s really jarring.

I'm trying to think of a game we've played that would make him reconsider.
Drawing a blank….
I won’t watch NBC because of the Notre Dame sycophants. I don’t want Verne and Danielson to be SEC fanboys. The product speaks for itself.

Awwww...
And I merely didn’t watch the NBC games because of Notre Dame. :-D

I love watching them
get the poop kicked out of them. Just have to do it with the sound off. Put some Bill Evans on and just enjoy.

I'm with you
A color guy pretty much has to call it like he sees it, but there’s a fine line between describing what’s happening on the field and uttering repeatedly in an astonished tone words that essentially says, “Maaaaan. I just really can’t believe how remarkably bad everyone on this team is!”

Danielson
He’s getting so bad that he’s beating our team…while broadcasting a different game!
How many times did he make reference to a bad Tennessee team during the UF-LSU game Sat. night? 4? 5? Somewhere in there.

When Florida fans
are making a point of telling me THEY’RE appalled by his behavior….yeah, we need some time apart. Which is just as well, because hearing Uncle Verne tsk-tsk is just as mortifying as having an actual relative disappointed in me.

If the game is late in the day...
Maybe we can also count on the boys from Alabama being so surprised at what beautiful women look like (are there any women in Alabama?) they get distracted and forget to show up to the game :).

Hoping 3:30
7:45 is way too late for me – nearly one in the morning my time – and I’m sleep deprived as it is. And I still haven’t figured out how to listen to the game next day without seeing the score on the new system. Last year it was pretty easy to do that, I could ask my husband to load it up, but his face always gives away the outcome.
But I’m guessing it’ll be the night game.

Think of the recruits, People!
Do we want them to see another ass-whoopin? Think of the children! Black this game out.
