South Carolina v. Kentucky

  • Spurrier stuck with QB Chris Smelley until midway through the third quarter, when he replaced him with Stephen Garcia. Garcia then led the team on four consecutive good drives for 10 points.
  • Garcia went 10 of 14 for 169 yards and one TD. Smelley went 9 of 23 for 105 yards, one TD, and two INTs. Kenny McKinley appears to be the Gamecocks' go-to receiver.
  • Kentucky got three turnovers in the first quarter but trailed by a touchdown at the beginning of the second.
  • Wildcat QB Mike Hartline went 23 of 43 for 152 yards and two INTs.
