Hey!
At the 1:08 mark, the announcer noted: “Nick just looked at the safety, went away from him.” Think about that.
A QB who accounted for the safety before passing!
Okay
seriously, this has nothing to do with the post, but i just want to hear everybodys opinion on this. i have been in an argument on govolsxtra, and it just burns me up. people have been commenting on an article ABOUT THE WIN YESTERDAY about how Fulmer still needs to go and how it makes them mad that evrybody is fired up about beating “just the last team in the West”. does anybody on here agree with that? i just cant believe, personally, that people can be so set on firing Fulmer that they cant enjoy a good win, even if it was the last place team in the West. i believe a win in the SEC is a good win, no matter the team. MSU isnt even bad. people like that just really piss me off. what do yall think?
Dustin
I'm with you
I can understand the frustration, and I agree that we probably shouldn’t get over-excited about a win against Mississippi State, but some very good things happened last night, and I hope I never get to the point where I can’t enjoy a win like that.
Go Vols!

Yeah, pretty much.
The internet has many benefits, but one glaring negative is the ability of people to disseminate blind rage anonymously. There’s no accountability with comments on message boards, other than the possibility of the comment getting deleted or the user’s IP getting banned. And I say that as somebody who regularly writes in a pseudo-anonymous fashion. (There is, however, plenty enough information on this blog to identify me if anybody felt like it. Meh.)
The fire-Fulmer-at-all-costs-and-regardless-of-all-occurrences meme is the ‘hip’ writing position in that it’s easy to find plenty of people who will support your tricky, sorta-witty phrases. If you want Fulmer fired, that’s fine. There are plenty of reasons to feel that way. Ditto if you want to keep him. But letting your stance on Fulmer interfere with watching the game is silly. It’s an easy rut to fall into, but it’s silly.

There was someone
At Appalachian State last year who wanted Jerry Moore fired after he lost to Wofford and Georgia Southern, the latter snapping a 20+ game home winning streak.
My point: there are idiots out there, and they flourish on the internet.

No Kidding
There are people there right now complaining that Jarvis Jiles is too cocky and that it’s sad that UT is only pulling in recruits ranked in the Top 100 now and not in the Top 25 like they used to.
It would be funny if people like this weren’t going to be voting in about 3 weeks. (Not because of any supposed political affiliation, just the demonstration of the complete absence of any sort of ability to think critically or make rational judgments.)
But think of it this way:
at least they’re getting the politicians they deserve.

Thanks guys.
it makes me feel a lot better that more people than just myself feel the same way.
