It should be noted, that as Davis’ agent, it’s in Sexton’s best interest to drive up his client’s bargaining position. "He’s happy, you’re really gonna have to pay him to get him out of there."

Davis may indeed be content there.
It’s a beautiful place to live, three of the road trips aren’t (Wake, Duke, NCState), the program is still on an upswing, and turning down a “traditional” power job may be the final bit of leverage needed to convince future recruits that he’s there for the long haul.
The ACC won’t always be this bad, and UNC looks to be one of the more likely contenders for dominance if Davis stays. I would think it more likely that Davis stays put, though everything is speculation at this point.
…right, Mr. “never-going-to-Alabama” Saban? ;-)
