Around SBN: NFL Week One: Previews and Predictions for all 15 games

The bandwagon's wheels fell off for me today!!!!

If anyone has Mr. Hamiltons ear forward this onto him. He hasn't returned any E-Mails from fans lately.

Just everyone calm down and look at that light at the end of the Tunnel. That's not a train or St. Peter calling...........That is opportunity.  As a Fan/supporter/critic, I think everyone should look toward the future. Everyone I know is calling for Fulmers job, not thinking about the future. I say that if you look closely at the situation and stand back you will see the underlying problem with UT football. Our team has what I refer to as crainial rectumitis. We cannot win with a Offensive Co-ordinator who is predictable. We cannot win with a defense that is on the field for 40 minutes a game. Offense, not defense (with the excetion of this year) is what puts points on the board. We need a recruiting class that includes a quaterback who isn't afraid of failure, getting sacked, or making a mistake. Cutcliffe was a master at this. He took Erik Ainge and made him a decent QB for the last year he played. We don't need another QB like that.....WE need another offensive coordinator. Give the "Clawfense" credit, he did a fine job at that 1-AA school he was at. At that level you can make mistakes due to the talent you put on the field. You however CANNOT do that in the SEC. Bring in a coordinator that has the 1-A experience, someone who knows what pressure is. Nowhere have I seen an article that blames the true problem, the choosing of Dave C. over several coaches that were a better candidate. Yes, we all make bad choices from time to time, and God knows this was one of Phil's biggest (other than starting Crompton) faux pas. Let Phil have another year, get rid of that sack of useless plays in the booth and bring in some freshness to take the stale out of the playbook. Fulmer has worked hard at this school, for MANY years, and should not be skewered due to this issue. Do you think anyone would work harder for UT? I think not.

Recruit a coordinator that can work with players, like Chavis. Recruit players who will work with coordinators. That is a winning combination. The head coach should stay and do what he does best, run the team..........That's just my opinion........

agree

I agree that if Fulmer is willing (and I think he needs to in order to keep his job) he needs to kick C. out the door and start calling his on plays. He had to do that a couple of years ago when Randy S. offense was doing nothing. Phil told him to sit back and watch, and let him call the plays. And I don’t think we lost another game that year. I believe in Fulmer as a coach, but I believe he has lost the team if he can get it back then I would like to see him stay. But he has to get on their butts. They forgot what it is like to be winners
