This is some sort of sick joke, right?

Congrats to Vandy
Looks like they’ll finish with a winning record in the SEC.

Nicky-Steve's a little young for me
by about ten years. But thanks. I guess.

All in good fun.
I couldn’t think of anybody else to tease on such short notice. It’s not like I was anticipating this move.

Crompton will look much better with Brian Kelly guiding the reins
….okay, not really. But I had to write that once just to see if it looks normal. (hint: it doesn’t)

Well, the honest truth is that we don't know the whole story.
At one point in time, Cutcliffe thought Crompton was ready to go and prime to be a fantastic starter this year. He also did very well in relief duty prior to this season. Was the complexity of the Clawfense terminology too much? Was he overthinking? A bad girlfriend breakup?
All we know is that he had a horrible season. It’s entirely possible that a new coaching staff would find Crompton to be the best option, and they may indeed be correct. That’s one thing we’ll at least have to be ready for, just in case.

I'll stomach my hate when that time comes
In the meantime, I think it’s pretty clear that the current staff has no idea how to get Crompton to …well, do many things, not the least of which is stare down his primary receiver before the snap. Maybe that’s why he keeps on aiming for the sideline fans; he looks away for a split second and thinks his WR metamorphosed into a fan.
Also, I think Cutcliffe’s method of teaching QBs is vastly different than Clawson’s; that would explain the regression (as well as Crompton’s limited success last season), and Cutcliffe was a better trainer than Clawson.
(Side note: if Clawson isn’t kept on and he has a parting press conference where he removes his Tennessee shirt to reveal a giant bulldog – or gator, I don’t care which – that might be the highlight of the season. It’d explain a lot, too.)

I doubt Clawson is responsible
for the Mountain Moron. I can’t imagine Clawson has taught MM to overthrow receivers by 10 yards. No way do I believe Dave Clawson said, “Jonny, just throw the ball in the ground about 5 yards short of anyone wearing out colors.” I ain’t afraid to say it, Crompton sucks as college quarterback. I need to look at some video to see how he held the clipboard last year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he screwed that up, too. And shave that d@mn beard. Whatareyou? Bahamian?
Sorry got caught up in the moment there.
