When is news not news? When it comes from Dennis Dodd, natch.

He's not even trying. (and thanks for the link)
A source told me that …

We’re not even trying to qualify it with something like “a well-connected source”, or “a source who can’t be any closer unless he were Mike Hamilton himself”?

Besides, “make a splash” could mean a lot of things. If you interpret that to mean: “restore the revenue stream to insanely-profitable levels”, then there’s no doubting that they want to “make a splash”.

Well, enough quibbling. On with the rumors! Wee!

Yeah

My sores are telling me something else. I have this odd blister in the shape of Joe Paterno’s head.

Go Vols!

Hmm

I like the sound of “major splash.” Dodd concludes that it must be Leach, but he’s discounting Davis. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Davis says he’s not interested. Parse that language and you have “I’m not really interested right now.” Throwing enough money at somebody has a way of making them interested at that time even if they weren’t before.

Not saying it’s Davis. Just saying the UT administration could be thinking that he’s a splash.

Go Vols!
