2008 Senior Day Tribute: DeAngelo Willingham

DeAngelo Willingham

Up next in our 2008 Senior Day Tribute is cornerback DeAngelo Willingham. RTT ranked Willingham No. 20 in the Class of 2007, and he was one of two junior college recruits that made up part of an A+ class of DBs. In retrospect, he was underranked in that class.

In 2007, Willingham started eight games and played in 14. This season, he's started every game. Willingham's career stats:

Vol fans will fondly remember Willingham's career game against South Carolina last season during which he had 10 tackles, one pass break up, and forced two fumbles, both of which Tennessee recovered. Thanks for a great couple of years, DeAngelo.

Wish we weren't losing him

He does get beat from time to time, but it seems like he is almost always covering the other team’s best WR.

How many fumble return yards does EB have? What’s the record for that?

Tennessee curlers earned second place at College Nationals (Division 3). UT has now had curlers earn medals at both nationals and regionals for at least three years running.

And by all appearances, curling will be a registered club sport at UT beginning in the fall, making Tennessee the first college in the South to have an official curling club.
