LANE KIFFIN, LANE KIFFIN, LANE KIFFIN: EVERYBODY SAID IT FIRST

Wow. What's up with everybody? Vol blog Loser with Socks first says that Lane Kiffin will definitely be the next head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. That was the 25th. Mr. SEC then posts on the 26th that Lane Kiffin will be the next coach. Chris Low of ESPN then posts today (the 28th) that Lane Kiffin will be the next coach. Later this afternoon, Mr. SEC gets all huffy and says that ESPN's "BREAKING NEWS" REPORTED HERE TWO DAYS AGO. All that's missing is the exclamation points and the foot-stomping. Sorry guys, but it looks like LWS got you both. Sure, they're anonymous and not burdened by all of that independent sourcing nonsense, but still. Do you realize that nobody but the story-breakers and those who should have been story-breakers cares?

Well, all of those guys may have said it first, but I'm going to say it most: Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Big Orange Nation, your next head coach is going to be Lane Kiffin.

Uh-huh. Lane.

Kiffin.

By the way, let me clarify that I have  the utmost respect for the guys at Mr. SEC, particularly Jimmy Hyams, John Pennington, and Josh Ward. Solid reporters, columnists, and radio personalities. Hyams is particularly knowledgeable and experienced, and Pennington is particularly funny. I just thought the whole thing was silly, especially since they were also just  complaining about not getting a link from GVX. Hey, you're in the blogosphere now, guys. Relax. Take it easy. Enjoy your new found freedom. I just used the word "particularly" three times in one paragraph. See what you can get away with without editors? The freedom!

Brothers, sisters, come together

and remember what’s really important here: Namely, that we all beat the News-Sentinel.

Well, implied in that statement is that we also beat GVX--

—wait, that’s not hard either.
