Spreadsheet?
I’d like to tweak a number or two to see how the upcoming games might affect things. (I’m looking at you, USC!)
But…
USC: Again, if they win, that 10 will become a 5 (or whatever that number is by then). That’ll bump them up naturally, even with the reduced SoS that UCLA [sniff] will provide.
Cincinnati: Even though the Big East doesn’t have a champ game, they’re getting 13 due to the Hawaii travel bonus. Big East champs, ur doin it right!
The top mess: I think it’s fine for now. Naturally, you’d like to have undefeated on top, but it’s not unreasonable to have that order either. Once next week plays out, that will probably sort itself quite nicely.
If I had veto power, I’d shift OSU and PSU down. Then again, I am a softie for the mid-majors. Utah and BSU did well in scheduling OOC (Michigan says sorry, btw). They can’t do a whole lot about their conference schedule, either. All in all, I wouldn’t mind more love their way, but there you go.

Western Michigan
Lost to Nebraska by 23, Central Michigan by 10 and Ball State by 23. Their best win to offset that is either a six-point victory against Buffalo or the same margin against Illinois, depending on how you want to look at those two. So I’d say the Midwest Broncos have to go. (And I not anti-mid-major; I’ve got Utah, TCU and Ball State all on my ballot.) Go with Pittsburgh or Iowa instead.
I’d also say Michigan State and/or Northwestern are waaaay too high. They had decent years, but against pretty week competition. Northwestern lost to Ohio State by 35 and Indiana to boot. Michigan State lost to Ohio State by 38 and Penn State by 31.
Team Speed Kills. All SEC, all the time.

And by waaaaay too high, I guess I mean three or four spots
Typed more quickly than I was thinking, obviously.

Thanks for the 'sheet:
Looking a little closer: if USC wins, they will probably be ahead of Penn State (and could possibly be in a tie or slightly behind; it’s really close). So I’m fine with them where they’re at for now.
Cincinnati, if they win, will be 11-2 and have a better W/L figure than the 10-2 teams. That will probably move them up another spot (but no more than that).
All in all, I’d use the 2 vetoes to move Utah and Boise State up. But you’ll see a lot of disagreement about the mid-majors, so take it for what it’s worth.

Florida kinda breaks the mold, huh?
All those metrics are so freakishly low except for experience.
Um…. not good for next year.
