Who is Taylor Mays
Obviously an “impact” player, show me where he is on:
As for Malcolm Jenkins? He didn’t even lead his team in INTs and was 6th in tackling.
Berry?
T-1st in NATION in Picks
3rd on team in tackles
3rd on team in sacks
3rd on team in tackles for loss
Honestly, Jenkins has the stats of Willingham

But he's an impact player in NCAA '08
That has to count for something, right?
(Fun fact: in my dynasty version, Berry stole the impact player from McCoy 6 games into the 2008 season. This is appropriate somehow.)

08?
Cmon man, get with the times! It’s 09 now baby!

That's actually what I meant.
Berry wasn’t quite good enough as a freshman to steal the impact player from Mayo. Close, though.

BOOOOOO!
I can’t remember who, but someone is getting arrested.
Eric Berry was just interviewed by Chris Low. He said things will get better! And hinted that Monte and Ed are coming to Knoxville! I believe him.
Eric Berry and the Orange Swarm. I like the sound of it.

The Tim Tebow lovefest is in full force on ESPN
Cue awkward applause!

"Orange Swarm"
I like it. time for a new attitude.
Berry got the shaft. Perhaps Kiffin will lead the fight to change the way Tennessee is viewed.

this is fantastic... +1
But I bet a guy from OSU will make one that is only about 2/3 as good and it will get all of the national accolades.
Me bitter? Nah.

3/7ths as good
Will still win it.

Glad you liked it
I just sort of figured that the James Bond theme fit…

Of course, being the 21st Coach at Tennessee has got to be a lucky thing as well...
Especially if you’re fixated on the number 21 the way I am…
Woo…

Thank you...
It’s amazing the lengths a body will go to in trying to avoid doing what they are supposed to be doing.
It’s funny, the Jack of Spades (or “Gus of Spades”) took longer than anything in the image…
Besides, I couldn’t pass up a chance to use the number 21 so prominently…
Heh…

Report Violation
I think I have figured out a good term for ESPN bias. It’s called ESPN Inbreeding.
This is a phenomenon which occurs mostly in the state of Connecticut, but spreads
all over during sporting events.
Symptoms of ESPN Inbreeding are easy to spot. The first giveaway is selective
blindness. This is a sad condition that only allows ESPN anchors, writers, etc. to
see things in a fantasy perspective. Case in point: Malcom Jenkins’ Jim Thorpe Award.
Instead of comparing stats to someone like Eric Berry, who had more than twice as many
INTs, huge return yardage, record breaking performance, and hits that make people in
the nose-bleed section pee their pants, they instead pick someone who plays for a
bread-n-butter inbred cousin Big10 buddy school.
What is the side effects of this condition you ask?? Complete irrelevance of the award
and an insult to those who deserve it.
Fortunately it is completely curable. All those affected by said condition can carefully
un-pucker their lips from the Big10 logo and stop obsessing over an inferior conference,
even if it means loosing a little dough.
Are you man enough ESPN?? Do you have any respect for sports or is it all about the
green? Just let me know after you guys have a few meetings and water cooler talks.

I'm calling BS
‘Cause Berry got screwed. He’s the best DB in the nation and I don’t think there’s a close second. The kid is a game changer and on most Saturdays he’s the best athlete on the field.

Jenkins
Didn’t even win conference D-PotY honors. C’mon, quit shaming these award shows, ESPN.
The funny thing is it was Berry who got interviewed for being on the Doak Campbell (sp?) All-American team. Bet the guys who actually’ve played football know that Eric Berry > Any ;)

I look at it this way:
Let’s snub Eric Berry and see what happens. I’m sure he’s totally okay with this and won’t use it as motivation this offseason or anything like that, right?
by Graysnail on Dec 12, 2008 5:36 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I hope not
If he uses it as motivation he is likely to kill someone next year.

Depends on what game it is?
Tebow should’ve gone pro…..
by Graysnail on Dec 13, 2008 9:35 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
So do you throw a flag...
… if a clean hit completely severs a player’s head from their body?
Just something the rules committee should clarify in anticipation for next year.
