Fulmer declines job as assistant to UT president : Football : GoVolsXtra.com
Hmm. A shrewd PR move by the University? A horrid PR move by the University, giving legs to a story almost dead? Just a misunderstanding by everyone? Thoughts?

I'm actually willing to take this at face value.
I mean there are a lot of restrictions on insurance and retirement for employees, and it sounds like Petersen was just trying to give Fulmer the courtesy of having enough time to figure out what he wanted to do.
I was pleased to hear that Fulmer opted to stay on as a volunteer helping with boosters and development.

Thank God.
Someone came to their senses. $125,000 a month will buy a lot of insurance and retirement.
