Ok, This Interview is Just Too Funny
ESPN managed to get in a brief interview with Lane Kiffin. As is their custom, they completely ignore the heads-up that he's not going to discuss the future hires.
Buuuut at the end of the video, the best misunderstanding brings some great images to mind. I don't know about you, but growing up in Wyoming, writing names in snow had a completely different connotation than what the ESPN guy tried to give it.

The ESPN Guy actually had his facts correct
I was doing that yesterday during some downtime between classes.

Dude's from Minnesota
I can just about bet you he was thinking the same thing about writing names in the snow.

With that information,
I’m sure you’re right.
And Kiffin’s from Nebraska. He was wise enough to know to correct the comment.

Hmm "from"
I read somewhere that Kiffin was actually born in Bloomington, MN, home of the Mall of America. Christmas stomping grounds for us, so I know it well. Whether he’s “from” there or not, I don’t know, but he’s still got a whiff of that MN accent.

He does.
I was using the rock-solid Wikipedia reference that said something about growing up in NE. His dad was a NE man, too, so it made sense.

Nebraska retracted
I was cross-pollenating Lane and his Dad. Lane’s Minnesota.

Snowing in Knoxville?
I need to travel there more often-we rarely get the snow here in Memphis. I miss it from my days in St. Louis.
He did seem so entirely bored with that interview…the first of a thousand such interviews he’ll be giving during his tenure where he’d rather be doing something else than answering stupid questions.

It wasn't a bad snow, but it did snow nonetheless.
We haven’t had much in the last couple of years. I wouldn’t mind one or two good snowfalls. Other than having to drive in a very hilly city on slick roads, it would be very good for the area to get a snow blanket on the ground.
