Six or something years in a row over a hated rival. An undefeated season more recently than Fulmer's. But . . . .

Stupid
And it will only make the Alabama fans MORE unbearable, if that’s even possible at this point.
How funny would it be if CPF went to Auburn and started a new winning streak? Everyone wants change, and Fulmer is definitely change from Tubberville. Loyalty to staff, doesn’t take many gambles, etc…

This could happen
What do you thank about Miss. St. for Fulmer ? They would more than likely get Chavis too.

I don't see him going to MSU
I think he’ll only take a job that is at least somewhat of a lateral move or of more prestige.

SEC
I don’t think he will get any big time offers anytime soon, look at Carr. And he knows the SEC inside and out. So maybe.

Carr is also older than Fulmer, IIRC.
And I don’t remember if Carr even tried for another position.

He was a good coach
And I’m just surprised no one has picked him up.

Carr was not fired
He retired at the end of the year.

Apparently Petrino's already getting tossed around
As a possible candidate for the opening. I love this, for many reasons – not the least of which is I was making jokes during the Arkansas / Texas game that Petrino’s press conference at the end of the game would be as Texas’ new OC.

I'd find it absolutely hilarious.
But largely because I’m still a little bitter about how Arkansas treated Nutt. I’m working on burying that feeling, but my sense of justice is still winning out against my desire to drop the issue in my mind.

I'm not the only one bitter about that?
I thought it was [REDACTED] and a half to do that to him. Petrino’s too good for them.

Arkansas showed what a fan base is capable of when they lose grip with reality.
Winning a football game is not as important as winning a World War or something like that. It’s a game. At some point in time, you have to not let it dictate your life for you.
I sometimes wonder how close our own fans came to Arkansas levels of insanity this season. I’m not sure I want to know the answer.

You don't want an answer to that
I mean, we didn’t trust the only-been-around-for-one-season OC to run the team better than the HC, and the kids didn’t run the asylum, so from what I could tell we weren’t as bad as Arkansas. Still, this isn’t a season we’re telling our kids about, for many reasons.
