Well its a new era at Rocky Top The hiring of the 21st Head Coach Mr Lane Kiffin. This came after Phillip Fulmer was asked to resign from the Tennessee after, his team got off to a "rocky" start in the they ended there season 5-7 Phillip Fulmer was in the organization for 30 years. He was a student, an athlete, a coach, he was well respected by the fans,fellow coaches,and most of all the N.F.L. he has sent numerous athletes to the N.F.L. some names you may know Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts, Jamal Lewis of the Cleveland Browns, Albert Haynesworth of the Tennessee Titans,Jason Witten of the Dallas Cowboys, and many more Phillip Fulmer is a Legend during his coaching career he has 152  wins he appeared in 15 bowl games and had 90 draft picks coach of the year in 1998 back to back S.E.C. championships in 97 and 98 he has done a lot at the school and is well respected but if you're a Tennessee Fan you know its time to move on a New Era at Rocky Top Lane Kiffin Fired earlier in the year from the Oakland Raiders he comes in and gets right to recruiting its a dead period now but for the first two weeks of his new job he hit 14 states recruiting now he's in Tennessee working on things like his staff he dismissed basically all of Fulmer's staff except the running back coach Stan Drayton Tight End Coach Jason Micheal Receivers Coach LaTrell Scott he said that riding in the plane with the guys learning a lot about the program and those coaches has really helped him a lot but the biggest signing so far is Lane's dad Monte Kiffin former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defensive Coordinator he is said to be the best defensive minded coach around right now he packed his things Sunday Night and headed for Knoxville im very excited about the things to come of Tennessee The New Era at Rocky Top
