Tennessee Volunteers v. Mississippi State Bulldogs: stats comparison
Once again, thanks to Tru for the idea and the assistance and to StatSheet.com for the stats. I'm aware that there's some redundancy here -- will remedy next time.

Pretty good advantage here for the Vols. We shoot 3s more often and hit a better percentage of them . . .

Rebounds could be a real problem for us in this game. We have an advantage in o-boards, but everything else belongs to the Bulldogs. If we don't hit a high percentage of our shots, it could be a long night.

Seriously?
We're going to have to have another 'lights out' shooting night from behind the arc against these guys. At 10 (are you kidding me, 10?!) blocks per game for the Bulldogs in SEC play, our inside game is going to struggle.
Of our 260 turnovers this season, I'm pretty sure 98 of them were from earlier this week vs. Bammer. Let's try to fix that tomorrow, shall we?

Nice sheet
On a generic note: one thing that's always made these hard for me to read is that you don't get a feel of what the teams have put their numbers up against. For example, how many blocks per game have UT opponents averaged throughout the year? If it's a number like 5 or 6, then the discrepancy you see might not be so injurious. If it's a number like 1 or 2, then whichever team can exert their influence will have a huge edge.
Of course, opponent-average stats are hard to track down, and I'm not suggesting that you do, it's just something I notice when I try to read them.
Thanks again!

This weekend's game
Varnado is going to be a killer for us this weekend along with Gordon. What was the deal with the recruitment of him at Tennessee ... other than Stansbury's suitcase full of money??
