CASEY STRIKES OUT

Looks like freshman to be QB Casey Kelly will most likely be picked in the 1st round of the Major League Baseball draft Thursday. If that turns out to be the case, then Casey will most likely not step foot on Tennessee campus. Well folks I love Tennessee as much as anybody but a Major league contract to play Baseball worth million of $$$$$ and not having to worry about getting your brains knocked out would look pretty good to me. So good bye Mr. Kelly and good luck in the Majors. Tell me which one would you choose? Would it be Football or Baseball ? Go Vols !!!! More News To Come, Old Smokey

He was coming into a program that has a lot of depth at the QB position and likley would not have played for a while.

To answer Volman’s question, If I am equally talented in both sports I’d likely choose baseball assuming you stay healthy the chances of having a longer career are much greater in baseball. The downside of baseball is the apprenticeship of the minor leagues. It would be something to score a touchdown into the checkerboards though…
