ARE YOU READY FOR THE "A-11" OFFENSE?
Two Northern California high school football coaches have designed an offense known as the A-11 that may just change the way football is played in the future. It appears to use speed and smaller players to its advantage. Take a read and tell me what you think. (I'm sure the Florida Gators are salivating over this). Speed kills!

I've read about the Pluto before
It sound like a great way to get the first 70 or 80 yards, but I’m curious how they punch it in once they get to the red zone.

understandable concern...
however, I’m assuming they don’t have to worry too much about red zone offense due to scoring so far away from the red zone in the first place.
in the event they do have to score from w/in the red zone I think this spread offense can still utilize speed and crossing routes to either throw or run the ball in for a score.

We'll have to wait and see.
There’s obviously the potential for fantastic things from the A-11. If nothing else, it seems to require a different defensive strategy to counter it. But that’s also my hesitation about it.
So far, it’s only been extensively used at the high school level, where the resources aren’t as readily available for defensive coordinators to figure out the most effective counters. Once it gets a few years under its belt and the defenses have prepared their answers, I’ll take a look and see how effective it is.
I would anticipate the A-11 as the base for a few of the gadget plays in several college teams over the next few years. It will probably have good results because a lot of the opposing teams won’t have defenses against it for a few years. That will allow it to gain some popularity and spread, but it won’t become anybody’s standard offense until it proves effective against a prepared defense. To me, that’s the key.
Agreed
Every offense seems like the hot new whizbang for a few years until DCs figure out how to counter it.
It would be fun if an A-11 derivative gadget play made its way in The Clawfense. If it did, I hope we use it against Florida. I hate Florida.
