Hooper...care to rerun '08 recruiting analysis?

It's been over six months since the dust has settled on the 2008 recruiting class, and thanks to Hooper, I've been eagerly awaiting an equivalent time period to now ask for his follow-up anlysis of the 2008 recruiting class (ref: posting date, 8 Feb 08). As I recall, the total number of university recruits influenced the schools' recruiting class ranking. Certainly, some of these recruits may have been deemed academically ineligible in the interim, or more specifically for this season. Thus, the ranking analysis may yield quite different results; don't know...just like to see what the effect is, if any.

I’m a bit humbled that you remembered those rankings all this time, and it’s something I’ve been hoping to do. The one problem is that Scout has not updated their recruiting rankings yet. When the recruiting rankings were finalized, they had posted an article that said that they would review the rankings once the season had arrived. I am at their mercy on this, since I do not know how they come up with their scores and, even if I did know that, I don’t have the time to recalculate the recruiting scores for every single team in 1-A.

But if they do update the rankings, even if the season has already started, I’d like to run back through the numbers and see how it shakes out. I think it could reveal quite a bit about how the classes develop between Signing Day and the start of the season.

if you happen to notice that Scout has updated their rankings, please post on here and let me know. I’m keeping an eye out as well, but I don’t mind the assistance.
