Curious on Douglas's ranking at #12.
He was given more stars by Scout and Rivals than almost any other recruit that year, and he looks to fill that massive TE role that Brad Cottam gave us (when healthy). What are you seeing that bumped him down (or bumped others up) compared to the other rankings?
Oh, and is CFAJ still giving jars?

No other offers
That’s usually the difference maker. I’ve been assigning 100 points for an offer for the highest-ranked school, with fewer points for the next school down the list, and so on down to the 25th ranked school.

I see.
Does it matter that Douglas committed to UT when he was about 6 years old? More seriously, he did commit sometime in his junior year, IIRC, and there was never any doubt that he’d go to UT even before them. It could be that nobody else ever bothered with an offer they knew wouldn’t be accepted, short of UT falling into the world’s largest sinkhole.

All true
Fault in the system, but knew it going in, and there are as many faults with any potential fixes I could come up with.
