UT v UCLA Tailgate Party

Hey Vol Fans!

I'm a UT boy (class of '00), living here in Los Angeles, CA. As you know, our boys in Orange are coming out to whoop up on the Bruins on September 1, 2008. I have family and friends coming out, and we'll be throwing a tailgate party on the golf course (Parking Lot 6 or 7) at the Rose Bowl. We'll be getting there early, so we can get a spot in the shade along the fence boardering West Drive.

I wish I could make it. I’ve always wanted to see the Rose Bowl, and this would be a fantastic one to go to. Keep us up to date and be sure to let us know how things go!

Where do you and fellow Los Angeles Vols go to watch televised games together? Georgia has a bar, Texas has a sports bar- Clemson…I want to go watch the games with the Vols out here.

That's a hell of a Voluntation!

I sure would like to take you up on that. I watched UT lose 23 – 25 in Pasadena in September 1994. I remember one thing that I constantly heard when I was partying afterwards; “I can’t believe how much orange is around here.” (Granted, I wasn’t partying because Tennessee lost.)

Anyhow, I lived in Ventura County (adjacent to LA County) and I spent a great deal of time in Malibu, Santa Monica and the valley. Great times. You’re lucky to be out there. I miss it incredibly. Living in D.C. just ain’t doin it for me. Have fun and GO VOLS!

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, grandson and I will travel over from Scottsdale, AZ for the game. It’s my 5 year old grandson’s first UT game. I bought him a UT jersey and cap for the big event——-he’s excited, but not as much as his “Papa”.
