Some of you probably noticed this already, but you can take a look at our upcoming opponents without ever having to leave the friendly confines of Rocky Top Talk. Here's how:
First, take a look at the menu bar in the top section of every RTT page:
Notice the "SCHEDULE" button I highlighted in the picture above. If you click that, you'll get a page that, among other things, contains this:
I've highlighted three things here. You can click where it says "UAB Blazers" to pull up information on UAB (which I'll show in a second). You can also click "coverage" to get scheduling information and lots of SBNation content related to the game. When basketball season kicks in, the "Switch to" Volunteers Basketball" link will come in really handy.
Also notice those red stars near some of the team names. If you hover your mouse over one, you should see the icon for the SBNation site that covers that particular team. For example, the Florida star will show you the icon for Alligator Army. (Since UAB doesn't have an SBNation site yet, they don't get a star.)
Lastly, if you click on the team name for UAB, you get this:
You can see the content here for yourself. Go ahead and give those circled buttons some clicks and see what you get. You might not be particularly interest in checking out all the content for UAB, but getting the feel of this now will make it a lot more useful to you when UT hits conference play. I think you'll really begin to find value to it during basketball season, when the games come around every few days and the news is constantly being updated.
