The coaches have a stat to measure how much better or worse the team is when any particular player is on the floor. I’m sure they know. Why not play him more? Good question.

Hey, nice coordination by the students!
Just as the guy gets ready to release the free throw, they all lean to one direction. That has to make the basket look like it’s moving.
I totally missed that.
If they’re doing that, that’s excellent. I remember a few years ago the Duke students were quiet when their opponents were shooting free throws ….up until he finally went into his shot – then they yelled like hell. I liked it.

About this time last year, there was a lot of arguing about seat allotments.
The students were complaining that their seats didn’t allow them to impact the game in the same manner as places like Duke. The donors were adamant that their payments gave them priority for the seats they wanted.
It’s the Golden Rule; he who has the gold makes the rules. But that doesn’t mean there’s not a tradoff; giving the old people the best yelling seats means that TBA is quieter.
