Tracking the pursuit of 1,000 career wins for Summitt, we keep track of an important home game. Beyond the career milestone, a win here helps UT stay in the chase for the regular season SEC title. Yeah, I missed that.

Shame on me for making the page while the men’s game was going on yesterday. I also messed up on the w/l record for the visitors, but I’m in class and will fix it later.

Halftime: 25-22 in favor of the Vols.

Part of their problem is that Glory Johnson picked up two very early fouls and was limited in action. Her inside presence is a huge part of the Vols offense; without Glory, open shots become much more difficult to come by.

That’s not good for Ole Miss.

Also, they currently have 13 total team fouls (3 in the second half) with over 18:00 left.

36-34 Lady Vols up

They had a much nicer lead, but are [again] letting the Lady Rebels back into the game. Hope they have another late finish tonight.

Ole Miss is living by the 3.

Their 3-pt percentage is nearly their FG percentage; having made 6 means they’ve added 6 points to their FG tally, which is good for a +4 compared to the VOls (2 3-pointers made).

Right now, that matters. Huge.
