- #8 Georgetown, who we love for the rest of the year, currently hosting #3 Pitt
It’s SEC non-conference Saturday, with plenty of scouting opportunities including:
- Missouri at Georgia
- Georgia Tech at Alabama
- NC State at Florida
- Houston at Mississippi State
- Vanderbilt at UMass
Also, the Ladies have the misfortune of tipping off at #14 Rutgers at the same time Bruce and the Men are starting at Kansas. Here’s hoping for a 2-0 day.

Some life near the end of the first half...
No heart… Not being able to shoot the 3 ball is KILLING us. 1-12 from 3 land will do us in against almost any team.
Down by 9 at half isn't bad for as poorly as they shot.
Of course, it’s better than the 13-point half by the Lady Vols. (I think Rutgers bears a bit of a grudge…)
This is the joy of rooting for 2 very, very young teams. Every now and then it really blows up on you. It’s not often you get to see it happen at exactly the same time, though.
I'm gonna play my
“We can’t play any worse and we’re only down 9” card. This may only lead to further disappointment.
It's because I wasn't watching
They’ve cut it from 13 to …um, 12 now, I guess, since I started watching. But when I started typing this it was only 9!

Emphasis on capable
Two blocks and a deuce in the first three minutes….after he threw up that three.
It's nothing new, but...
Refs everywhere seem to be calling charges more often this year and you’re getting more flopping on contact…which hurts the quality of play.
We can't do more than one or two things right consecutively
Got down 16 early and treading water ever since.
A couple things:
1) Vols deserve to lose the way they played…but i hope they come back here
2) Jay Bilas is a complete ass*&^e
3) These home job refs are atrocious…JP Prince has every right to be upset

we didn't need magic at 77-70 Will....
we needed a better shot than Chizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for three!
oh well, it is frustrating to watch these guys sleep in the first half of games but i do agree with the execrable Bilas that we will win the SEC

Harlem Globetrotters vs Washington Generals
We never know who will show up. Today we got the Generals.
The lack of defense this team plays is pretty disheartening. I hadn’t expected that at all. There aren’t enough scorers to overcome the highlight-reel, NBA style of defense they’re playing.
How many games...
has someone from the other team scored a career high this year? I don’t know the number, but it’s a lot.
