What Politicians Could Learn From Football
I know, I know. Politics and football have as much business in tandem as alcohol and automobiles. However, if you can look past some of the silly nuances that the author discusses (e.g., "rules are…commonsensical, and unchanging during any…season"), it really is an interesting read (particularly toward the end) regardless of your political views.

Could they at least learn to do their jobs, and their jobs only?
Football is a team sport made up of players who are trained in a limited number of roles and who rely on their teammates to fill out the needs of the team. Not even The Tebow plays every position. He knows his responsibilities and sticks with them.
If our illustrious governmental legislators and executors decide they need to become entertainment mediators, they need to be voted out as quickly as possible. to continue the article’s analogy, if a football player can’t do his job (or in this case, refuses to do the right job), he gets benched. Imagine if the left tackle insisted on lining up in the backfield as a halfback so he can carry the ball. One timeout and player substitution later, that issue would no longer be a problem.
Nice find, btw.
