Your Kidding Right?

You must skip the ones where he bashes UT.

To be fair, he's been bashing Crompton.

He wasn’t necessarily a big fan of Kiffin talking prior to the season starting, but he’s been more or less neutral toward UT.

Eric Berry for sending the guy who wins the Heisman spinning 720 degrees in the air at the podium - or for intercepting it and returning it to where it rightfully belongs

To be fair,

He wasn’t saying anything we hadn’t been saying around here for awhile. Pretty objective reporting if you ask me.

Eric Berry for Heisman!!

Pretty much the only thing I disagree with in the column is this:
a Georgia interception return for touchdown off a flubbed reception that wasn’t really the quarterback’s fault.

Crompton threw the ball behind the receiver, with good pace, making it almost impossible to catch. That’s why defensive players work on the tip drill. And, that’s why we ask Crompton to lead the receivers to hit them in stride.

He did a much better job of that today than at any point in his career where we don’t use the words ‘practice’ or ‘spring game’ in the sentence. in fact, Saturday was pretty much “InCromparable” with anything else he’s done as a Vol.

He isn't bashing UT...

Just reminding us not to get too giddy because Georgia’s Pass defense is not that good.

He praises Crompton’s play which we all should do, but keeps our joy in check because the defense we will play against in two weeks will be a much, much, MUCH more difficult challenge.

bsmithnc – use some common sense and don’t get all defensive when someone provides fairly objective criticism

I read his column almost weekly

I’m not getting defensive at all. But even before the season he was doggin’ UT. All the while, he sung Flordia’s praise, like they needed it.

Doc Saturday is required reading for me

it’s easy to make that argument if you didn’t actually watch the game. If you did, you saw great chemistry w. the recievers. The timing on almost all his throws were perfect; the recievers were in the right positions; and Crompton only made one bad throw all day.

But, how many times did Georgia act surprised by that bootleg play? Tenn ran it half a dozen times, at least. And it didn’t look like Georgia’s Defensive coaches made any adjustments for that.
