Makes sense.
Auburn @ LSU was the only other game with any pizazz to it, and the networks have a fetish for having LSU home games at night.
The good news, though, is that this will be a CBS game, which means that the internet feed will be of higher quality than 360. (Well, it matters to me…)

ESPN Gameday watch
They already went away from the ABC/ESPN telecasts once for Florida/LSU, not sure they’d do it again…but there’s a lack of any real marquee Top 25 vs. Top 25 games on October 24. You’ve got Penn State at Michigan and Oregon State/USC…but the game I’d wager they’re most likely to go to is TCU/BYU for the mid-major nod. Still, as long as Bama holds serve this week, there’s a chance they’d go to Tuscaloosa.
I'd be looking at TCU/BYU if I were them, too.
It’s a great chance for them to show something different on the air, look kind and benevolent toward the midmajors, and save Alabama for the Iron Bowl.

Danielson’s Tebow references?
“McElroy back to pass….did I ever tell you about the time I shook Tebow’s hand? That young man has a good grip…Incomplete. I wish Tim was here. No offense, Verne.”
