As Hooper noted in this space last night, Alabama has denied Tennessee's request to wear its orange jerseys on the road this week. Yes, it's 'Bama's fault for allowing the Pac-10 to out-cool the SEC. Roll Bama Roll has a point, though, saying that "It's not like a jersey's color magically empowers the player wearing it to run faster, leap higher, and tackle harder. Just ask Georgia (zing!)."
The Rivalry, Esq. examines the BCS rankings and notes that they do not support the theory that the Big Ten is having a down year. The Big Ten blog also weighs in on what's wrong with Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor.

I think we had the same point as RBR:

The jersey color doesn’t affect gameplay, so why not go home-and-home? They’d enjoy it. We’d enjoy it. Everybody wins.

Even Alabama fans would enjoy it: they’d get to gripe about the orange that much more, and that always seems to help them make it through the day.

Forget it.

I just saw the character of the boys on that side of the argument. bobo was ambushed and I’m quite proud of the composure that was displayed. I work with a good man that happens to be a Bama fan. He is in the minority. I just hope the white jerseys stay clean on Sat.
