Gerald Jones and receiving corps staying late, getting better
Right after the Auburn loss, Gerald Jones went to see receivers coach Frank Wilson and asked him to be harder on Jones than on any other receiver. Fortunately, Wilson was hardest on Brandon Warren, who was dismissed, but to be fair, Jones didn't give Wilson much of a chance to criticize after that meeting.
Jones started staying late with Jonathan Crompton, leading the rest of the unit by example. Soon, Quintin Hancock was staying late as well, and then Marsalis Teague and Nu'Keese Richardson joined the after-hours practices.
It's apparently paying off, as the QBs and WRs were at a 90% completion rate at Wednesday's practice.

I speak Cromptonish
"They can do all the wrinkles but we’re going to key who we’ve got to key," the senior said.
Translation: The intended receiver is predetermined at the start of a given play, and I will be throwing the ball at this intended receiver regardless of whether the defensive coverage makes this throw substantially dangerous.

Eric Berry is better at football than you.
I also will stare at this receiver with laser-like intensity until I relase the ball.
Unless good Crompton shows up in that hell-hole of a stadium in the armpit of a city located geographically in the most backward State in the Union.
I told you we would beat Georgia!! Now, as for those 9 wins in '09......
I got bored and made a blog!! SCS
That is very frustrating
Crompton will lock on and you can watch him wait, wait, pump, wait, and then force the ball. All the while the safety is watching his eyes and timing his break on the pass.
Then there are QB’s like Ryan Mallet. He goes through his progressions so quickly. I think he is going to make a great pro QB.
Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

Crompton can be a QB as long as he's on the move
He doesn’t stop and stare while he’s on the run. That’s the biggest difference in the GA game and the others.
