I would like to formally call for an end to all discussion of the officiating during the Alabama game here on RTT. It's not doing anybody any good. While I disagree with the Bama fans' interpretation of the rules, and they disagree with ours, the bottom line is nobody on either side believes beyond the shadow of a doubt that the outcome would have been different had they dropped the flag.
So, let's let it go. Tennessee fans (myself included), let's stop jumping at every troll's flame over this stuff. Trolls, stop flaming, especially about Lane Kiffin. You want to call him names and illustrate how much you feel threatened by him, fine, just take it to your site or TSK where you'll find people who agree with you because we don't. No matter how much you say he sucks, has no class, is "Lame Kitten", "Kiffen", lies, whines, or whatever, right now he is still the coach that is turning UT football around and making them a disciplined, winning football team. Remember, we have the same talent as last season's team that went 5-7 and lost 4 games by 20 points each. This season, with the same talent, we've lost four games by 20 points total, and more talent is coming. We will continue to defend him. Your own team's blog won't allow that type of stuff at their place from us, so why not respect us a little more especially since our admins are so gracious in allowing you here?
Let's not let this devolve into GVX.

So what you’re saying is, we should just let Kitten Kiffen say whatever he wants, even when it’s false?
I’m sorry; I understand you want to defend your coach, but when he goes out and insults Alabama unustly, you want us to just sit there and take it? Kiffen, even in his press conference yesterday, still tongue-in-cheek insulted Alabama and the officiating of the game.
I like that you’ve moved on, but what you’re saying is, “Ok, Kiffen can keep poking Alabama as much as he wants, even when it’s unwarranted, and if they do anything about it, they’re unclassy trolls!”
So go ahead. Apply your double standard. Let your coach pretend that he knows what he’s talking about. But know this- as long as your coach doesn’t show respect to others, you’re not going to receive respect from them, even if the coach doesn’t represent the level of respect you have for an opposing team.

We’re gonna defend our coach no matter what because our players aren’t getting arrested, kicked out of school, and we’re not cheaters.

light-hearted trolling, and in any case, my statement up there is pretty clear in saying we here at RTT are no longer putting up with trolls or flames about Lane Kiffin.

There’s a difference between calling people names tongue-in-cheek (e.×.: Kitten) and personal attacks. I challenge you to find one personal attack or personal misapplication I made on this site. Your personal attack against me is unwarranted and typical of what I’ve found on this site: it’s like saying, “Hey, does your wife know about all your illegitimate children?” and then running away. You need to provide proof of any personal attacks that I made, otherwise I reject the premise of your attack on me.

I'm signing off of RTT now,
I’ll check back one more time tonight. I just wanted to say, most of you guys have been great, and the debate has been educational.
All I’m saying is, don’t expect your coach to get a free ride- he can’t cry “wolf” and expect no consequences for it. On the other hand, the topic has been beaten to a pulp and should be moved on from. As Alabama moved on, Kiffin took yet another swing at us in his conference yesterday. You can’t seriously expect us to just sit there and let him, right? That’s the part that I don’t understand and I really really would like it explained.
I agree. Enough is enough. But if Alabama fans can drop it, and Tennessee fans can drop it, then why can’t Coach Kiffin? Until HE drops it, then it will still be in the center spotlight. To say that Kiffin’s comments were often wrong is not trolling, it’s stating an opinion that is up for discussion. Now, can this be discussed without devolving?

I sincerely hope Kiffin stays for years to come. He is very entertaining and the players seem to buy in to him. That should make next year’s game another classic in this grudge match.

I must apologize for squinky's insensitivity.
Squinky you must remember that poor Volbrian and his fellow Voluntears have had quite a tough past few years. I mean remember the season of death? Also, this season has gotten off to an awfully similar start. I mean if I was in their pathetic position, I too would be eternally saddened by the harsh reality that is the current state of their team. So thank you Vol Brian for censoring your critics about a topic that your own coach continued to trumpet while you are pulling your panties out of a wad. RTR. 12-10. Stay Classy Vols
