Black Jerseys??

so what do u guys think bout us wearing some black jerseys and black pants with possibly a black helmet..for saturdays game i think it would be sick nasty looking.... come out and warm up in normal home jerseys and then go in and change after warm ups and nobody knows bout it.. man that would be sick!! kiffin was asked but them durring a oress confrence and he said we would have to ask mike hamilton or something like that i think that would drive the gamecocks crazy and completley mess with their minds..

It's football, people.

Just let it go. Crompton is just now getting comfortable throwing to the team in orange. Let’s not mess him up now by asking him to throw to a different color….again. I’m guessing Tennessee will be wearing all orange (I hate those pants) and South Carolina will wear their away whites. Let SCar wear all black, but don’t touch the Vols’ colors.

For the record, the helmets should never, ever be touched!!!!!11

Black Jerseys

Get ready guys, it is comming! Halloween Night VS S. Carolina , the Big Orange will run through the T with a stunning new look. Traditional Helmet, Black Pants laced with the Orange and white triple strip and the power T on the front right leg, the BLACK jersey will oooh so compliant with orange numbers incased in white trim with a touch of class adding the power T in the center of the chest….. this will set the Vol Nation and all of Neyland Stadium into a freenzy! Is this right or wrong? Who cares! But dispite what the majority may think, this would not be the first time we Vols would wear Black during a football game (trust me I have researched this, and you can too). So stop stressing the issue, and learn to except what is comming my friends. Happy Halloween!
P.S. I cannot confirm nor deny that the above is going to happen, just a hunch from what is usually a good resourse…..but I think it would be pretty sweet!

I liked them, I think.

I think we can lay to rest any conversation about this being a regular change. If it weren’t Halloween, this never would have happened in the first place. But for one night where half the students were in costume, it fit. That, and the players managed the energy well.

I have to tell you, though, the reaction from the crowd was unbelievable when they came out. The usual crescendo that builds until the run through the T was skipped; they simply pegged the needle as soon as the black was visible and left it there.

i don’t have to tell UT fans how much Bama fans dislike orange…

The black though just didn’t look right. Perhaps its b/c there’s little to no black in yalls normal uni’s…IDK…The black just didn’t fit.

It was odd.

Part of it seems to be that the pants (and maybe helmets) didn’t come in time. Berry and Hardesty requested the black on Wednesday in a meeting with Hamilton, so the turnaround wasn’t ideal.
