ESPN College GameDay and early games open thread
There's a full day of football before ours rolls around at 7:45 tonight, beginning with Ole Miss at Auburn at 12:21 and continuing with the Cocktail Party at 3:30. Of course, the day really kicks off with ESPN College GameDay, which starts at 10:00 and shoots live from Eugene, Oregon where USC will travel to take on the Ducks at about the same time as our game. Expect little mention of South Carolina at Tennessee unless it also includes talk of officials, reprimands, and/or Lil Wayne.
So leave your comments on GameDay and/or the early games below.

INSANE hit on the opening kickoff in Auburn-Ole Miss
that somehow Ole Miss got back after the fumble
Woo, that game's on now!
I was watching Iowa suck for a bit before coming back get behind early to Indiana.

How rare is it for a 3-4 UT to be FAVORED by 6 over 6-2 South Carolina?
What does that say about how little respect South Carolina has earned with its record and how much respect Tennessee has for its painfully close losses?
I've heard several of the talking heads

It's a squirrely thing right now.
SC is higher-ranked and has the better record, for sure, but they also have been less impressive of late. Not saying that they’re not impressive, though; they also had a good game against Alabama.

Bizarro injury in Ole Miss - Auburn
A player down for each side. The Aubie on top of the Rebel. Neither being moved.

Here's hoping that the ugly stick doesn't do roadies.
There’s one in Auburn and one in Iowa, and I fear seeing one in Knoxville.
Have fun.

Yeah
I thought Auburn would lay down and die. Have fun. GO VOLS!

So apparently you can win with no QB
Look at Iowa’s season so far. Makes you feel really bad about Auburn and UCLA.

Wow. Strange replay officials
I thought that one would go in Iowa’s favor.

So did I, but only based on prior calls.

Unnecessary roughness? He prevented a first down. And he led with the SHOULDER!

Wow. Turnover battle is 6-1
But points off turnovers is only 10-7

And Iowa takes the lead 28-24
What the hell is going on in this game?

I dunno, but the crazy just hit the Plains too.
It’s now 33-20 after an Ole Miss kickoff return and a Dexter McCluster 79-yard TD run …. but the XP was blocked and ran back for two.

Halloween jerseys?
The title on this GVX post says Vols to dress out for halloween. But I can’t find an article he’s linking to that says anything about our jerseys.
Indy throws an INT this time
I think this game may be over.

Same here, unfortunately.

At this point, I think the 17.5 point spread is in danger for Indiana.

I don't even have the energy to be mad over this.

Fumble by Auburn after a 20 yard loss on 3rd down
Ole Miss may have a shot after all.

Oh no, Gary Danielson's in the same stadium as Tim Tebow.
Doesn’t that violate the restraining order?

Fair enough.
I think I’ll have to head back next year for a game; I meant to get down this year but it’s not going to happen, unfortunately.

Boy, I hope the coaches stay on Palardy, though; I’m sure a lot of schools will try to poach him.

2 more official visitors:
Michael Dyer and C.J. Mosley are both from the same school in Arkansas. That makes 11 officials and 3 unofficials, if my count is right.
Big weekend.
This may be why we need a win more than just needing a win.
