The Blue Boys (and girls) are getting themselves worked up into a tizzy up there.

I'd leave that one alone.

I love ASoB, but I can guarantee you that you won’t pull them off of that position. The Billy years were not kind to their psyche, as they had to endure ‘almost’ football seasons in the SEC followed up by ‘almost’ basketball seasons.

Hey, we did the same thing with the Clawfense, and no amount of talking could prove us wrong either.

Oh, I know....

and I agree, it’s almost always a great place to visit. I just am always amused at the deeply blue goggles most KY basketball fans wear. I really get the giggles when I read the message boards like CatsPause.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." It's tough being a basketball-only school in the SEC.

At least UT will talk basketball with them now. That has to feel better, in a way. Before, it was only UNC and Duke fans.

I don't think you understood me.

We aren’t saying other teams are irrelevant, the media is acting as if they are. It’s been Kentucky, Kentucky, Kentucky when you would at least expect a few stories about Kansas, or Duke, or even Tennessee.

I’m not exactly lamenting the fact, but it is passing strange that UK has been so far off the national media radar for so long, and now we are the only thing on their mind.

The lede was a poke at the mainstream media coverage, not a pronouncement that other teams are irrelevant. Sorry my sarcasm wasn’t more obvious. :-)

Ah.

That does make sense. The media has always been one for novelty.

oooohh……shiny…..

Yeah....

I should have read the entire article…and, like I said, I like your site, especially compared to most other Kentucky sites. I look forward to a great year of SEC basketball, both on the floor and here in SBNation.
