Speaking of mascots...

Does anyone else think that our Smokey actually knows what is going on? Seriously, he went after an Bama player in ’06. Also, he just seems so dang happy to be there.

probably.

He’s a pack dog, and I’m sure he can tell who’s in his pack.

And that is why I love that dog.

I'm not sure.

I think he may have ADD (seriously, overstimulation and a half), but at least he makes noise.

by Chris Pendley on Nov 21, 2009 8:46 PM EST up reply actions

Wow

I’m surprised that we gained almost twice what they did. ~300 yards in the first half is sweet. And the defensive stats are only mediocre, not as bad as we’ve actually played.

by Incipient_Senescence on Nov 21, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions

Do you know what really screws Vandy's schedule up?

Florida – Florida State.

Because of that game, there are an odd number of SEC teams left over for in-conference games. And Vandy drew the short straw, so they have to hope they can get a nonconference game if they want a bye week.

by David Hooper on Nov 21, 2009 8:59 PM EST reply actions

Hardesty's going to have my guess pretty soon

We need to get a good lead and put #11 in when #2 hits 130

by Incipient_Senescence on Nov 21, 2009 9:02 PM EST reply actions

Ugh

Site froze. Came back with a pick

by ChattVol on Nov 21, 2009 9:04 PM EST reply actions

Why can't we...

just make this a blowout?! JC couldn’t help that one, you’re right.

Dang.

I really don’t want to have to worry about this one. I can’t handle it.

We are out of position.

Here is where the 3rd string middle linebacker hurts.

Who did this defense blaspheme?

Seriously, it’s been one bad karma trip after another.

At least that was good.

by mike2ray on Nov 21, 2009 9:13 PM EST reply actions

I need Hardesty to just get a little bit more

And the defense to hold. I doubt I’m getting either of those.

This is what we hate when others do it when we have a guy hurt

by Will Shelton on Nov 21, 2009 9:20 PM EST reply actions

It has to be the wave.

They always try to get it going in the third, and it usually takes them about 5 minutes to get it to go.

by David Hooper on Nov 21, 2009 9:21 PM EST up reply actions

Okay I'm going to play alittle devils advocate

I know this years off season was much more physical this year, anybody think that it might me contributing some to these injuries?

I think Bryce Brown's hip

is still banged up from a hit he took in fall camp

by Will Shelton on Nov 21, 2009 9:23 PM EST up reply actions

Quite possibly.

It contributed to WR injuries early.

Good choice or not?

I think it was.

You can’t run away from injuries, either. And it made a huge difference in the defense’s level of play early.

Wow.

If you’re going to leave a hole in your return coverage, at least don’t have it directly in front of the guy. Make him at least run sideways.

by David Hooper on Nov 21, 2009 9:24 PM EST reply actions

Berry is going to come up short

on awards this year. It should have been his last year. He’s done so much more than what a Safety should be asked to do.

it makes me wonder if he’ll win just on name value this year. Anyone who actually paid attention would’ve given it to him last year

He wanted to play quarterback

And we weren’t interested…and by the time we got re-interested, he was already committed to UK and didn’t like us coming back in late.

Alabama must have played

UGA must’ve played the Chemistry club in the 2nd half against UTC. Only scored 10 pts

by Incipient_Senescence on Nov 21, 2009 9:59 PM EST up reply actions

by danmarcel on Nov 21, 2009 10:18 PM EST up reply actions

Actually, provided Auburn loses to Bama, Georgia loses to Tech, and we beat UK

An Arky win would create a 4-way tie at 7-5 with the top pick going to the Outback, #2 going to Atlanta, then Liberty and Music City.

that we can’t try a 40 yard field goal to ice it

Why pitch out? Just run it up the middle. Sometimes, a little JohhnyBall is the right answer.

by danmarcel on Nov 21, 2009 10:21 PM EST reply actions

Hindsight and all that, but

I would have rolled Crompton out on play action. Vandy had to bet too much on the run.

by David Hooper on Nov 21, 2009 10:22 PM EST reply actions

I have to spend another week not listening to 990.
