PrintSo no player on Tennessee's roster had been born in 1984 when Kentucky last beat Tennessee. Lane Kiffin was only 9-years-old. The Vols' 24 consecutive wins is the longest major-college rivalry winning streak in the nation.
Senior offensive lineman Christian Johnson says that if Kentucky wins tomorrow, "they're going to tear Lexington apart." Which is a brilliant statement because it really presents a dilemma for us, doesn't it? I mean, which would you rather see, Vol fans? The streak remain intact or Lexington torn asunder? I’d prefer to see Lexington torn apart in rage, not joy.
