On Palardy

I almost spit out my coffee when I first read that. YOU CAN’T TAKE HIM, HE’S OURS! Here’s to multiple game winners over the Gators in his career.

Regarding Meyer:

Adams forgets (as does pretty much the entire media) that Florida’s ‘06 national championship featured Tebow only in occasional feature plays. Crediting him with that NC would be much like us crediting Nu’Keese with the games we won when he ran the Wild Thing. (That’s my new generic term for it.)

But the system player / system coach argument also ignores the synergy of the whole thing. Meyer succeeds by getting players suited for the system, and the players succeed by finding a suitable system for themselves. It worked in Utah, and it worked in Bowling Green. Honestly, until we have reason to believe otherwise, it’s just best to assume that Meyer will have Florida ready to play every year.
