Dang it, Chris Low!
Kiffin-gate? Seriously? Do we really have to add a -gate to everything? The first one was the natural name of the hotel where an incident caused Nixon to eventually resign. Now we’re using it every time somebody has an owie. (Not a reference to this particular time.)
To employ another way-overused phrase, Low (and/or whoever started this particular use) jumped the shark.

I agree
its over used, but hey Low made some good points, and took out some of hyperbole thats flying around over this gaffe. Thats not to say he sugar-coated it for UT fans either.
