Tennessee Curling is now 3-0 in the College National Tournament. A few of the highlights of the weekend so far:
- A real penchant for stealing. (Stealing an end, in curling, is when you score points even though the other team has the last shot.)
- A team from another school with the girls dolled up in golden tights.
- A team from still another school borrowing said tights for their guys to wear. 8-O
- All of the TVs tuned into TSN, the Canadian equivalent to ESPN who was showing Tim Horton's Brier. (The Brier is Canada's most important men's curling tournament. Since Canada has about the top 5 or so men's teams in the world, it's bit of an event.)
(Seriously, kudos to those guys for having the guts to do that - when we played against them, nonetheless. But there's something creepy about a guy wearing pants shiny enough for you to see your reflection in his backside.)
We'll be playing at 9 AM Central for the gold in Division III. I don't know if I'll be able to update before we hit the road for home, but with luck I'll be able to brighten the day before UT beats Mississippi State!
