"I thought Jonathan Crompton played extremely well at quarterback today and (Montario) Hardesty ran the ball well; and Chris Walker is unblockable right now," Kiffin said.

How many quotes
like this one will it take for us to talk ourselves into Crompton? The kool aid tastes best in springtime…

Either that,
or we’ll have to talk ourselves out of Kiffin. I’d much rather follow your path than the latter.

Remember that the "well played" has no standard to compare it against.
Well played could mean he didn’t overthrow anyone by 7 yards.
FWIW, I find this quote more revealing: "He’s making really good decisions with the ball, with very few turnovers. He’s getting the ball where it should be and handling the offense. When he’s in there, he seems to have very good control of what’s going on with the offense and I think the guys are responding to him." Again, I want to see context before buying into Crompton as a viable option. I’d also love to know which drills he’s generating turnovers on, and what constitutes “very few”.

Words won't do it for me.
Action on autumn Saturdays is what matters.
