7 of10 are defensive players.
Of the 3 offensive guys, one is an Arizona tight end, one is the Kansas QB, and one is the Nevada QB. So yeah, it’s reasonable to think none of these guys will have a shot at the Heisman.

Wow. 2 + 2 = ...
Link these statements together. From the writeup regarding Berry:
1. Eric Berry, Tennessee safety: The past few seasons have been dismal for Vol fans, but at least they have Berry. The guy is a ball-hawking, playmaking, vicious-hitting DB that probably would’ve been a top-five NFL draft pick had he been eligible to come out this year. Last season he not only had seven INTs for an amazing 265 return yards, he also proved to be an intimidator in the back of the UT defense. It’s not a stretch to say Berry is better at his position than his competitors by a wider margin than anyone else in the country is at theirs.
From the writeup of Taylor Mays:
3. Taylor Mays, USC safety: …
So … Berry is his position’s best by a wider margin than any other position’s best and the third guy on the list is another safety.

Haha
You totally stole my post.
Maybe he meant Strong Safety? Although the way Mays hits I’m asuming he’s also a strong safety, but I dont know for sure.
I am totally biased, but I do think Berry is better than Mays. From what I saw in the rose bowl Mays is a one trick pony. He hits even harder than EB, but he doesn’t have the other skills at quite the same level that Superman does.
