Phillip Fulmer Will Get the Neyland Award Saturday
I'm tremendously happy for Fulmer. Interesting parallels: Fulmer is receiving the award the season after Lloyd Carr, who won the national championship one year before Fulmer and who was relieved from duty one year before Fulmer. Both were relieved when their programs were flagging and fan apathy began to set in.

Did I miss something?
I read that he will be presented the award at The Foundry, not the O/W game. Seems to me if this was to be presented to him at the O/W game it would be awwwkwaaaard….Those are indeed interesting parallels by the way…

You're right.
I saw “Saturday” and read right past that. Thanks.

I think he will be honored at halftime though
Of the spring game.
I’m happy ffor him that he’s won the award, but in my opinion this is all extremely inappropriate.

No way they did it
without Kiffin’s approval.

Not sure why I said 'extremely'
I’m not that passionate about it, but I don’t think it should be done. I have nothing against Coach Fulmer, but it just seems a bit weird. But, if all parties involved are cool with it, I’m cool with it. I certainly won’t begrudge the chance to give CPF a round of applause.

It does seem like it's a little too soon
But if Kiffin is down, then I guess it’s ok.
